Ok this review shows what the specs are of the ZT Systems 7645Mi Desktop PC I purchased from Walmart. The biggest problem I had shopping for a PC was finding the detailed specs about the PC’s for sale. The reason may be that the companies are changing the hardware and so it would be difficult to list the details. However being a person that usually builds my own PC’s and a Systems Analyst and in the Tech field for the past 20 years I went crazy trying to find out what was really inside. Here is what was in mine. And I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. Especially by the motherboard a $100 motherboard in a low cost PC is very unusual.Motherboard: MSI H67MA-E45 A very highly rated MOBO I have used MSI for my mainboards in the last 3 PC’s I built for myself. The USB 3.0 is nice when backing up to an external drive. MSI makes solid boards.Drive: Seagate Barracuda Green ST2000DL003 2TB 5900 RPM hard drive this may be the weakest point in that it is a 5900 RPM drive but it is a Seagate and 2TB of space. It may be a little slow but I would take Seagate over Maxtor or the horrible Western Digital brand.Memory: 16GB ram with that much ram not much swapping will be done with the hard drive so the hard drive speed won’t be much of an issue.Processor: Intel Core i5-2320 processor is excellent for the price. It has 6M of cache not the 3M or 4M of cache in the first generation chip. If you look at the benchmarks it is so close to the Core i7 processors that unless you’re doing some major gaming it will be more than fast enough.Video: The Intel chipset for the video is probably the weakest point for the PC if you are interested in major gaming you will have to add a video card and if you do that you may have to go to a more powerful power supply. But the video has HDMI and DVI-D and dual monitor support.Build quality is excellent and the components are very good, nothing cheap here. For the price there is nothing that comes close. A Blu-ray drive would have been nice but what do you want for $600 (I got mine on sale for $599 + tax.)One thing I really liked is that it is assembled in the USA. I prefer to have things done with American labor when possible. I have to say ZT systems has an excellent product here.PSIt is very quiet if that matters to you.
