When I wear my Hampton University paraphernalia, I boldly and proudly answer “yes” when people ask me if I attend the University. Most people who ask are flabbergasted by my gleeful response and are prompted to ask more about the school. People who are familiar with the University assume I am smart because of the school’s reputation. Hopefully, as time passes, that will be the universal assumption of anyone who is a continuing student or alumnus of Hampton University.
Hampton University is ranked one of the top HBCUs in the United States and is steadily gaining more recognition as years pass. The University is constantly improving on academics and expanding its student population. Hampton University is dedicated to maintaining a professional atmosphere by implementing a dress code to prepare students for the professional world.
I can honestly say I wanted to attend Hampton University since my freshman year of high school, and I made it my mission to find out all the facts that I could about this school. Most facts that are accessible about a University are only the facts “they” want you to know, which makes it hard to make a true assessment about the University for yourself. Students who come from across the world seeking a degree from Hampton have a vision of achieving a great level of success, and that vision is embraced and molded on Hampton’s campus.
If you’ve done your research, you’re probably familiar with what Hampton offers as far as academics, but are you ready to wear the Hampton University accessories with pride for the next four years? It’s a difficult question to ask, but hopefully after reading this guidebook, you’ll be able to answer “yes” or “no” with confidence.
