About The Author
Mr. DeAtley is Deputy Director of the Institute of Public Health at Washington Hospital; prior to that he was Associate Professor, Emergency Medicine, Disaster Medicine and Special Operations Section at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is a physician assistant with over 20 years experience and a leading expert in emergency disaster preparedness including terrorism, chemical, biological and nuclear incidents. Mr. DeAtley is also the assistant medical director of the US Customs Service, and consults to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the US Department of Justice. Mr. DeAtley was named the 2002 Outstanding Physician Assistant of the Year by the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
